PAUL  D.  HALPERN, O.D.

Dr. Halpern attended The Pennsylvania State University and The Pennsylvania College of Optometry and earned B.S. and O.D. degrees. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps and was  president of The Pennsylvania Optometric Association. He has been in practice in Norristown for more than 40 years.

His practice includes all aspects of family eye care and includes the treatment of eye disease, keratoconus, glaucoma, and the management of refractive and cataract surgery. He specializes in the fitting of all types of contact lenses including scleral and corneal reshaping lenses (orthokeratology).

" I love treating keratoconus patients! They have poor vision, they're frightened about going blind, and they're often unable to work. I promise them that I will design comfortable scleral contact lenses which will provide excellent vision and help to retard the progression of their keratoconus. And then I do it!"
